Gravity Bong! - Easy to Intermediate

THE GRAVITY BONG

Well this is it.

The gravity bong uses water to pull smoke into the container and then push it into your lungs.

In this case it can be literally anything that will allow you to cut an opening at the top and bottom. Such as a 2 Liter bottle or really any plastic bottle with a cap, but get creative cause there are a ton of raw materials out there for this one. It's limitless possibilities!

There are a couple key points in the construction of any quality Gravity Bong :
  • You need to use some kind of bowl to put Green in! It can be a glass one or something you've made out of whatever, I'd recommend 2 layers of __________. . . It just needs to fit into the cap hole, or a hole you've cut into the cap with your trusty X-Acto knife

Aluminum Can Pipe - Easy

Aluminum Can Pipe

  1. Bend the can in the middle so you have a flat surface with high sides, don't flatten the can too much cause the inside will hold all your smoke.
  2. Use anything (push pin, razor blade, nail) to poke a circular patten of SMALL holes into the flattened surface of the can. This will be the bowl that holds your greenery. put some Green over the holes and light it up!
  3. Inhale Through the mouth opening while you light the makeshift bowl!
Not bad in a pinch, cans are everywhere. Can be made quickly, easily, and works well enough. I'm not going to go over the hazards of smoking with aluminum cans, just do some research.

I've used these when I had too but don't expect this to be your goto device when its time to burn..

@_@ Tools of the Trade - Bong Craft Materials

Bong Craft will require a few tools depending on what you are wanting

Most of these materials can be found at home improvement stores, arts and crafts stores, Wal-Mart :D, ect.

Materials:
  • Dremel Rotary Drill - A bit expensive (five finger discount - Wal-mart anyone?), but you will have it forever and it's useful for all kinds of Bong Craft, including Glass Drilling.
  • Dremel Collet Pack - Collets are the tips that hold your Dremel bits in place. You need the Various Sizes to hold some bits, like the Diamond Bit necessary for Glass Drilling. A pack of Collets will be like 5 bucks and last forever.
  • X-Acto Knife - Sharp, precise, cheap. Get one and get some blades!
  • Sharp Scissors - X-Acto Knives can't do everything. . .
  • Eye Protection - Goggles of some kind will be clutch when working in tight spaces because plastic, glass, wood, and other materials doesn't need to float into your eyes. . Home improvement stores sell those science goggles on the cheap BTW.
  • Face Mask - I use a bandanna or a paper respirator from a home improvement store to keep glass and other shit out of my lungs, you should too. . fo shizzle
  • Local Smoke Shop - Get your odds and ends from you local place whenever possible. This will ensure you get what you need the first time around. Internet shops can be used if you've got no where else to turn to for supplies
  • Internet - Do some research and you'll find there are a lot of ideas out there for homemade smoking devices and how to go about crafting them.

Bong Craft: So you want to become a Bongsmith?

Well here I am. I knew this would happen eventually. . I just love making things to smoke out of a little too much I suppose. Anyway, Let me start off by saying that this blog is for the tokers out there. It isn't for me, I'd make this shit even if no one else liked it, but it just so happens people like smoking out of crazy shit (go figure. . . ).

So now onto the FUN STUFF @_@

There are a few things to remember if you want to make a quality smoking device.

1. If your device isn't relatively airtight, your not gonna get good rips :(

2. Sometimes shit is going to break, get extra materials if possible!
If you only have one bottle, tube, diamond drill bit, x-acto blade, or whatever you'll eventually break it. . . . especially if your blazed out of your mind :D

3. Plan it out before you start construction of your smoking device.
And if you're using someones plans, READ THEM ahead of time!

4. Take your Time with the construction, the finished product will be worth it.

These are the basics I guess? Know your tools, know what you want to build, and be careful not to rush yourself and you can turn pretty much any materials you find into something smokable and crazy. Oh yeah, GOOGLE will be a big help too.
